STORY 4: Early Voting Off to a Slow Start in Cobb

Early voting for the May 21 primary in Cobb County began slowly, with only 420 in-person votes and 30 mail-in ballots returned by 1 p.m., representing just .09% of active voters. The election includes races for various offices, including U.S. House seats, the Cobb County Board of Education, and a Kennesaw City Council seat. Poll managers reported a slow but steady start to early voting, with no major issues reported. Cobb County Elections Director Tate Fall encouraged voters to mail absentee ballots early or use drop-boxes due to postal service delays. Early voting is open at multiple locations until May 17, with Election Day voting at assigned polling locations on May 21. More information is available at CobbCounty.org/Elections.
