From the Henssler Financial Studios this is your news minute on the Marietta Daily Journal podcast presented by Engineered Solutions of Georgia. Today is Monday June 26th, and I'm Brian Giffin
Over the weekend, a group of demonstrators, including individuals bearing Nazi flags and other antisemitic symbols, gathered outside a synagogue in east Cobb, Georgia. The rally, organized by the Goyim Defense League, drew condemnation from local and state officials. Images and videos shared by elected officials and Jewish groups showed the scene outside Chabad of Cobb. The synagogue's rabbi, Ephraim Silverman, expressed gratitude for the community's support and stated that there was no threat to the security of the campus. The Cobb County Police Department confirmed that there were 11 demonstrators, and the situation remained peaceful. The Goyim Defense League has been involved in distributing antisemitic flyers in various neighborhoods nationwide. The ADL encouraged people to notify them and law enforcement if encountering this group but advised against engaging them directly. Officials expressed outrage over the rally and reaffirmed their commitment to combat hate and antisemitism in Georgia.
