Avenue East Cobb unveils makeover
The Avenue East Cobb, a shopping center, has unveiled a new plaza designed to serve as a community gathering space. The renovation project aimed to transform the traditional shopping experience into a vibrant 18-hour-a-day destination that includes dining, entertainment, and social activities. The makeover added two freestanding buildings, a public plaza with an LED screen and stage for sports and live music, a concierge building with a valet lane, astro turf, a wooden patio, outdoor seating, and kiosks for food samples from Avenue tenants.
The celebration event marked the completion of the renovation and introduced new tenants to the shopping center, with plans for community events like yoga classes, sports game watch parties, and live music performances. The project aimed to bring experiential retail and activate the 23-year-old shopping center for residents of East Cobb. The event was well-received by the community, with attendees appreciating the transformation and fresh experiences offered by the new plaza.
