Ball Ground opens new police headquarters

The Ball Ground Police Department in has officially opened its new headquarters, which is part of the Ball Ground City Hall complex. The completion of the police headquarters was celebrated by city leaders and officers. The building was initially part of the city's original plans for the city hall but faced delays due to costs. Mayor Rick Roberts expressed satisfaction that the municipal complex is now fully built as envisioned in 2008. Ball Ground Police Chief Bryon Reeves highlighted the growth of the department since 2005, when it had only three officers. Currently, the department has six officers and plans to hire a seventh soon. The project's completion was seen as a significant achievement, with gratitude expressed to past and present city council members for their collective effort.
