A fire originating in a car caused significant damage to a home in Buford. Firefighters responded to the scene and found flames spreading from the garage to the roof. The residents had already evacuated the house before the arrival of the firefighters. The fire was brought under control within 22 minutes. A fire investigator determined that the fire was accidental, originating from the car in the garage. The garage and first floor suffered extensive damage, with smoke and heat damage throughout the basement and second floor.
