Steve Divine has been reelected as the chairman of the Cherokee County Board of Elections. He previously assumed the position in January and was chosen again after the new board members were sworn in. Divine, a business development specialist and owner of Divine Insurance Agency/Farmers Insurance, expressed confidence in the newly appointed board members and emphasized their commitment to upholding election laws. The other board members include two Republicans, John Wallace and Larry Hand, as well as two Democrats, Julie Glade and Sheree Giardino. Glade and Wallace will serve two-year terms, while Giardino and Hand will serve one-year terms. The appointments were made under a new state law that changed the election board selection process. Anne Dover was also reappointed as the elections supervisor during the meeting.
