Cobb Turnout Light in First Day of Early Voting
Early voting began at the Smyrna Community Center and other locations for the upcoming municipal election in several Georgia cities, including Acworth, Austell, Kennesaw, and Powder Springs. Smyrna residents expressed a variety of priorities, such as fiscal responsibility, public spaces, and appropriate growth. While the turnout was low on the first day of early voting, election workers expected more significant participation during runoff or presidential elections. Voters cited factors like experience, leadership, and the direction of Smyrna as important issues. The chair of the Cobb Board of Elections reported a smooth start to the early voting process, with various hours available for voting throughout the week.
