Today is Thursday August 17th and I'm Brian Giffin.A Costco Wholesale Warehouse in Buford, Georgia, experienced an evacuation due to a coolant system gas leak, creating a hazmat situation. Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of smoke coming from the back of the building. Firefighters arrived promptly and assisted with the evacuation, discovering hazy conditions caused by the gas leak in the coolant system. The Hazardous Materials Team was called in to ventilate the store and monitor air quality. The gas leak was brought under control, and medical crews treated and released one individual with a non-life-threatening injury. The situation was deemed safe for building managers to address repairs after ensuring the structure's safety.
