Girl Scouts connect with Canton seniors with memory loss
From the Ingles Studio this is your news minute on the Cherokee Tribune Ledger Podcast presented by Powers Electrical Solutions. Today is Wednesday, September 27th and I'm Keith Ippolito.
Girl Scout Troop 22337, composed of dedicated young volunteers from Cherokee County, visited Cedarhurst Senior Living to bring joy to seniors dealing with memory loss. Their visit on September 23rd included games, laughter, and companionship to foster meaningful interactions and brighten the seniors' daily lives. Activities involved hands-on games like blocks and magnetic puzzles, allowing the seniors to connect with the girls. Troop leader Shannon Landon emphasized their goal of building connections, showing empathy, and spreading happiness, creating a cherished memory for all involved.
