Today is Saturday July 29th and I'm Brian GiffinAurelio Angeles Bautista, a 36-year-old resident of Dalton, Georgia, was arrested by Gwinnett County police for allegedly shining a green laser pointer at a police helicopter near Pleasant Hill Road and Satellite Boulevard on July 22. The helicopter's flight crew identified the origin of the laser and directed officers to the location. Bautista has been charged with pointing a laser at an aircraft and is in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail. The case has been referred to the FBI's Atlanta office and the Federal Aviation Administration. Police emphasize that pointing lasers at aircraft is dangerous, as it can impair pilots and onboard equipment, and is illegal due to the potential harm to pilots, aircraft, and the public.
