Gwinnett police investigating suspicious death in Stone Mountain
Gwinnett police initiated an investigation into the suspicious death of a woman in unincorporated Stone Mountain on Wednesday. Officers and emergency services responded to an unknown medical call at a residence on Sheree Trail, discovering a woman in her mid-40s already deceased. It remains uncertain how long she had been deceased before the 911 call. The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office joined the scene and subsequently requested a police investigation due to the suspicious circumstances. The victim's name will be disclosed after notifying next-of-kin. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact GCPD detectives or Crime Stoppers for a potential cash reward leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
