Hall County officials are searching for Deon Altron Ellison, a Gainesville man accused of shooting and killing the driver of the vehicle he was riding in on Interstate 985. The incident occurred at the Jesse Jewell Parkway exit around 1:30 a.m. Ellison faces felony murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery charges. He allegedly got into an argument with the victim, pulled out a handgun, and shot the victim in the head. The vehicle crashed into a ditch, and Ellison fled the scene in the direction of the Rabbittown community.
