How and where to vote early in Cherokee County
Early voting for the municipal elections in Cherokee County, specifically in Canton and Woodstock, will begin on today and run through November 3. Early voting hours for the first two weeks are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and for the third week, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Voters can cast their ballots in person at two locations: the Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration Office in Canton and the South Cherokee Annex in Woodstock. Six types of photo ID are required to vote in person. Absentee ballots can be requested until October 27, and they can be mailed, submitted in person, or placed in drop boxes. Municipal elections are scheduled for November 7, with candidates running for various positions in Canton and Woodstock.
