From the Henssler Financial Studios, this is your news minute on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, presented by Dayco Systems. Today is Wednesday June 14th and I'm Brian Giffin.
Hugho Pacheco, a 52-year-old man, has been indicted by a Cobb grand jury on charges of killing his girlfriend and other related offenses. He allegedly shot Yuridiana Villalobos to death at her Mableton home back in April. Additionally, Pacheco faces charges of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation for incidents involving a young girl between June and October of the previous year. After being identified as a suspect by Cobb police, Pacheco was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Alamo, Texas, as he attempted to cross the border into Mexico. Investigator Larry Griffith and Detective Thomas Chase collaborated to locate Pacheco, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Office Task Force. Pacheco is currently held without bond at the Cobb County jail. The arrest highlights the successful collaboration between law enforcement agencies in pursuing justice.
