A SWAT situation unfolded in Marietta when police attempted to arrest Jule Ware, a 40-year-old man with outstanding theft charges. Detectives initially visited his residence on Allgood Road, but Ware's whereabouts were denied by Kirsten Garcia, 32. Later, armed with a search warrant for stolen property and Ware's arrest, detectives were informed by Garcia that Ware was hiding in the house. After attempts to coax him out, the Marietta Police Department's SWAT team was summoned. Ware eventually surrendered without incident, leading to his arrest on theft and obstruction charges. Garcia was also arrested for misdemeanor obstruction.
