Marietta's Chalktoberfest returns next weekend with art, music and libations
The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art's Chalktoberfest is set for October 14 and 15, offering a unique blend of chalk art and craft beer. This annual event in Marietta Square features 83 artists from around the world, including Ukraine, Mexico, Italy, France, Brazil, and the United States. Attendees can enjoy craft beers, live music, and an antique car show. The festival has grown over the years, drawing over 100,000 attendees last year. Rain preparation includes a tarp strategy and a weather app. The Craft Beer festival on Saturday serves as a fundraiser for the museum, offering a wide selection of craft beers and wine. Sunday features a community chalk competition and showcases the museum's education department. The festival is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
