Motorcyclist Killed in Maxham Road Collision
Austell is mourning the loss of a young life following a single-vehicle accident on Sunday night. Alejandro Garcia-Zavala, 26, was riding his 2016 Honda CBR 650 motorcycle southbound on Maxham Road when he lost control near the intersection of Pontiac Circle. The motorcycle struck a curb and then a guardrail, leading to Alejandro being ejected into a nearby creek. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office.
We extend our deepest condolences to Alejandro's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Anyone who may have information about this incident is urged to contact the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-3987.
