Candidate qualifying for the upcoming municipal elections in Gwinnett County cities is set to begin, with several cities having races for mayor and city council positions. Qualifying will take place next week, with most cities wrapping up by Wednesday, except for Auburn and Braselton, which will continue until Friday. Notably, nine cities are holding mayoral elections this year, including Auburn, Berkeley Lake, Duluth, Grayson, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Peachtree Corners, Snellville, and Suwanee. Additionally, Buford's City Commission Chairman seat is up for election. Changes are expected as some incumbents are not seeking re-election, including Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris and Snellville City Councilman Dave Emanuel. Qualifying information for various offices in each city is provided, including fees and locations.
