Canton resident Lou Knight has published her first novel, "The Fallout of Deception – A Different Kind of Kidnapping."
The adventure starts when three couples pack their bags to attend an out-of-town funeral, having no clue their lives will be upended.
The wives are buddies from college, but the husbands are strangers and prefer to keep it that way. The women have a different opinion and extend the trip into a long weekend, but no one anticipates the threats and adversity coming their way—especially the old friends as they pledge to execute an almost-unthinkable plan. A circumstance—meant for good—all too soon brings out long-hidden secrets, suppressed anger, and unknown strengths. Those personal strengths and resilience are tested, almost to the breaking point, forcing people to do things they usually wouldn’t do.
