Three Cherokee County School District students have completed a regional leadership program, the district announced.
Junior Will Murphy of Sequoyah High School, sophomore Surya Narasimhan of River Ridge High School and junior Vlad Stogniy of Woodstock High School recently graduated from the this year's Model Atlanta Regional Commission youth leadership program. They were among 49 high school students in the 11-county region selected for the program.
The six-month program offers select high school students the opportunity to learn about issues affecting their region, including housing affordability, responsible water usage and the impact of transportation options.
