Cherokee County residents have voted “yes” to allow the county to issue licenses to businesses for package sales of distilled spirits.
As of 2:37 a.m. Wednesday, with all precincts reporting, 92,265 residents (79.2%) voted “yes,” while 24,238 voted “no” on the referendum, according to unofficial results on the Georgia Secretary of State website.
The county will now be able to permit distilled spirits sales in unincorporated areas.
