A woman who was reported missing over the weekend was found dead Wednesday after her car was recovered from Lake Arrowhead, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call Tuesday night about a possible vehicle in Lake Arrowhead near Peninsula Way. A vehicle was not visible there, but deputies found evidence near the edge of the water that a vehicle may have entered the lake.
A dive team from Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services found a vehicle, authorities said, and it was recovered from the lake. Laura Ann Linden, 65, was found in the car.
