Hundreds of volunteers placed Christmas wreaths on grave markers at the Georgia National Cemetery Saturday as part of the national Wreaths Across America event.
A ceremony was held Saturday morning at the cemetery with military families, volunteers, veterans groups, high school JROTC students and scouting groups to honor the deceased service members buried there and to remember their sacrifices.
The Georgia National Cemetery Advisory Council accepts donations year-round for Wreaths Across America. Donations can be given by check to GNC Advisory Council, P.O. Box 5476, Canton, GA 30114, or online at ganationalcemetery.org.
