Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Suspect In Shooting That Sparked Georgia Gwinnett College Lockdown
On November 7, a shooting near Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville led to the arrest of 18-year-old Jamarion Lewis from Winder. Accused of shooting a tow truck driver in the early hours near Countryside Place, Lewis faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony. The incident prompted a soft lockdown at GGC before classes started. The tow truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering in the hospital.
