Keith Martin Gouger, a man from Powder Springs, has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and cruelty to children in the second degree. The crimes involved a 7-year-old girl who was forced to engage in sex acts with him on multiple occasions. The victim's mother reported the incidents to the police, leading to Gouger's arrest. At trial, the now 9-year-old victim testified about what happened to her. The Cobb County District Attorney's Office commended all involved parties for holding the predator accountable and urged victims of child sexual assault to come forward and report the crimes to the authorities.
