Two men from Powder Springs, Robert Rose (52) and Kevin Ronte Rose (29), have been accused of stealing a significant amount of scrap metal and copper from Legacy Mechanical Services. The incident took place at the business's location on Roberts Boulevard in Kennesaw on July 26. According to arrest warrants issued by Cobb County Police Department, the suspects entered the property and dismantled HVAC units located in the back lot. They managed to pilfer a substantial haul, including 220 pounds of copper scrap, 225 pounds of motor/compressor scrap from six AC units, 200 pounds of steel scrap, 26 pounds of recyclable refrigerant R22, and 250 pounds of motor/compressor scrap from additional units like exhaust fans. Both individuals are facing charges of three counts of theft by taking, each exceeding $1,500 in value. They were apprehended on August 2 and are now in custody at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. Robert Rose's bail was set at $20,000, while Kevin Ronte Rose was released on a $15,000 bond.
