A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday night on Highway 92, as reported by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived at the scene near Acworth at approximately 6:30 p.m. The incident involved a car and a motorcycle.
According to the sheriff's office, a car driven by Nichole Phillips, 53, from Acworth, was making a left turn from Ridge Mill Drive onto eastbound Highway 92. Unfortunately, the car pulled out in front of a motorcycle traveling west on Highway 92, operated by Tyler Cole Letson, 48, from Lula, Georgia. The collision resulted in severe injuries for Letson.
Emergency services rushed Letson to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Phillips, the car driver, was also taken to the same hospital for serious injuries that were deemed non-life threatening.
