Three men have been arrested and charged for their involvement in a jewelry store burglary in Canton where more than $1 million worth of merchandise was stolen. The burglary occurred at Kay Jewelers in January, where the suspects accessed the store by cutting a hole in the roof. Canton police, aided by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, successfully arrested all three suspects, Maykel Olides Hernandez, Javier Guerra-Morales, and Giorge Navea. They have been charged with first-degree burglary. Hernandez, Guerra-Morales, and Navea were arrested in different locations and are awaiting extradition from Texas and Florida. Authorities suspect them to be part of an international theft ring, with connections to other burglary attempts in various locations including Forsyth County, Marietta, Alpharetta, and Knoxville. The arrests were the result of diligent efforts by the Criminal Investigations Division and cooperation among law enforcement organizations.
