McCormick Closes Congressional District Office After Threats
U.S. Rep. Rich McCormick has closed his district office in Cumming due to what he described as serious threats of violence against his staff. He emphasized his commitment to their safety and reported these threats to Capitol Police for a full investigation. His staff will continue working remotely to serve constituents. Additionally, the House passed a resolution, sponsored by McCormick, to formally reprimand Rep. Rashida Tlaib for her criticism of Israel, with bipartisan support. It's important to note that there is no indication at this time that the resolutions censuring Tlaib are directly connected to the threats against McCormick's staff.
